SUNDAY
Ron:
My day starts with Tracy’s arriving at my house
to drive with me to the airport. Tracy, Peter and
I have been a team in the Maxx delivery for more than
five years, so our routines are well-honed. We head
off to the airport, grab a Starbucks coffee there
and work on a crossword puzzle during the flight to
Montreal. Shortly after checking in to Chateau Vaudreuil,
we’re off and running with our facilitator prep
meeting led by Peter. We meet with our Alcan faculty
partners and lay the groundwork for the coming week.
It’s always a valuable and enjoyable investment
to get our simulation team members on track with us…
it’s the critical forming stage of a great team!
Peter:
I am trying to imagine who will be joining me in my
group this week and what their expectations are...
Sometimes I think I’ve heard it all, but then
I am constantly challenged and surprised. I am excited!
Stephanie:
I’m going to The Maxx. I can’t believe
it: I’m actually going to The Maxx! I’ve
worked at e! for over two years and I’ve never
seen our signature simulation. Twice, I’ve planned
to attend, but both times something intervened…But
not this time. Truth be told, I’m a bit nervous.
I’ve heard a lot about this sim, but I don’t
really have a sense of how it will unfold and what
my role in it will be.
Peter:
I am anticipating, with great relish (pickle, mustard,
whatever…), having Stephanie on our Maxx team
for the first time. Stephanie is one of our key program/
project coordinators who works in the exper!ence it
office. Her energy and commitment are going to add
a lot!
