Imagination

The Imagination Lab is a three-hour, interactive, creative and productive team creativity lab. Suitable for either individual or intact teams, this lab is designed to set the stage for innovation breakthrough! The Imagination Lab involves participants learning and immediately applying ‘Imagination Thinking’ to their own issues. They use ‘Imagination Tools’ to create opportunities for themselves, their teams and their company.  The lab can be used off the shelf, or it can be customized to fit the specific needs of each client. The exercises are enjoyable and engaging and are built from significant longitudinal, organizational research with a focus on practically applied creativity, innovation and differentiation.

Participant Experience

Participants in The Imagination Lab experience a brief, engaging challenge/competition that brings the innovation process to life. It introduces participants to a framework for expanding the boundaries of their solution space. Participants are then introduced to some ‘big ideas’ and tools related to:

Individual Focus (‘Thinking About Thinking’): Understanding the way our minds work in creating or limiting options.

Business Breakthroughs: Understanding the four stages of product and service development (Generic, Expected, Augmented and Potential). Experimenting with pushing the boundaries to setting the stage for breakthroughs. Seeing the clear tie between the mental models they hold and the individual and collective performance results they achieve.

Positioning: Understanding and optimizing the clearly defined need that they uniquely fill, whether that is with internal or external customers.

Application: Applying the principles reviewed and practiced above to real-life issues and challenges. Beginning to create opportunities for breakthrough thinking and performance.

Learning Program Focus:
